Islets, legends and a lot of magic in our trip to Es Vedrá
One of the most wonderful maritime trips that can be enjoyed in the Pitiusas Islands is the one that gets to the beautiful and pleasing islet of Es Vedrá, in the South of Ibiza. Salt flats, sand dunes, virgin coves, tips, cliffs, towers and celebrities' mansions arise in this boat trip and make it really attractive for all kind of public of all ages: families with children, couples, groups of friends… Come on and discover one of the most amazing corner of the Mediterranean Sea with Ulises Cats and its route to Es Vedrá.
What you will see in this route
The trip that Ulises Cats offers every Friday of the season lasts 3 hours. During this time there is no place for boredom, as the journey discovers continuously the most beautiful corners of the southern and southwestern coast of Ibiza and, in fact, since the very beginning, because after a few minutes from the initiation of the trip, Les Salines Natural Park with its virgin beaches of Es Cavallet and Es Salines emerges. The towers risen at this stretch of the coast formerly watched over a very precious good, the salt produced in its ponds, that have been active in Ibiza since the Phoenician Age.
Once we reached Cap des Falcó, the Falcon Cape, our catamaran set the course to Des Jondal Tip, leaving behind the reddish cliffs of Es Bol Nou, the dry dock huts of Sa Caleta and the same name site, where some rests of an ancient Phoenician Village are preserved. After we overtake the Es Jondal´s promontory, arises the famous Blue Marlin, one of the most luxury beach club of the island.
The coast keeps drawing its silhouette in its journey to Es Vedrá, showing the passengers of our catamaran little soft orography with tips, some islets, few coves (like Porroig) and amazing cliffs as the ones of Es Cubells or the ones that emerge in the end of Llentrisca Cape. At this point Es Vedrá is nearby. The Red Cove or the slabs of stone that easily identify the old coastal quarry of Sa Pedrera of Cala D´Hort, precede the dazzling protagonist of our trip: The charming islet of Es Vedrá. There are legends and curious stories about it but it barely needs any ornament, as its silhouette and orography dress up the isle more than enough. If you have already watched Es Vedrá from the coast, you shouldn´t miss this new view. Is the best icing on the cake for a route that you surely love.
Time for fun
It is true that this trip allows you to discover new coastal corners that you couldn´t have found out from the land, but also you will enjoy other charms: you will be able to take a refreshing dip in the turquoise and calm waters of the South of Ibiza, descry fishes in the deep of the sea through the glass bottom of our boat and maybe you can catch sight of the dolphins jumping after the wake of our catamaran.
