Three boutique hotels in Formentera
Formentera is still one of the last Mediterranean paradises and this is largely due to the current restriction to the construction of new hotel establishments. As this is a small island, not bigger than 85 square kilometers, this policy has avoided too much saturation both in hotels and residences. Within its restrained accommodation offer, we recommend you to make a reservation in any of these three boutique hotels, especially if you are looking for an oasis where to forget about the daily routine.
1. Es Marés
Located in Sant Francesc Xavier, the absence of sea views or countryside views is compensated with 18 luxury accommodations, tastefully decorated, where you will also have at your disposal a pillow menu, a sound system and an iPhone player. Its guests facilities include a swimming-pool and a spa where an extensive menu of treatments is offered.
Its villas and double rooms are scattered between the pine woods, near to El Pilar de la Mola and very few meters from the sea. You can do sport in its little outdoor gym, or just lie down and have a nice reading on its Balinese hammocks with sea views. This is really the best option if you are in a romantic getaway. For sure it won’t be easy for you to come back home.
Located at the beachfront, beside the Migjorn’s sandy area, this will be your hotel if you’re looking for some evening atmosphere, but not renouncing to the Formentera’s postcard virgin beaches, with their turquoise waters, sand dunes and pine woods. It has a total of 30 double rooms and family rooms, and its facilities include a fabulous swimming-pool with sea views and several Balinese hammocks, where to forget about the rest of the world. Early booking is almost essential.
