5 tips to enjoy Ibiza with the family – Part I
Ibiza is well-kown for it's party face, but the island is also a very attractive destination for families, who usually find here beautiful beaches with clear and calm waters, which are perfect for children. But there’s much more. If you are travelling this summer to Ibiza with your kids, take note of these places and enjoy your holidays in the island to the utmost.
1. Es Canar Flea Market
The Punta Arabí Hippy Market, also known as Es Canar Flea Market, is the biggest one in the island, due to its more than 500 stands with handicrafts, fashion clothing and accessories, costume jewelry, natural cosmetics… Children have besides their own play park where they can make crafts, take part in different workshops or enjoy a fantasy makeup session. It takes place every Wednesday (April to October), from 10.00 a.m. until 18.00 p.m.
2. Cala Bassa
This half-moon shaped beach is one of the best where to go with children, because of its sea bottoms, which have a gentle slope and very clear waters. Furthermore, numerous schools of fish are easily observed just when you enter the water, which means a great amusement for children.
3. Aquarium Cap Blanc
Despite its small size and its simplicity, this aquarium is always preferred by the youngest people of the family, because here they can observe from very near the different fish species, specific from Mediterranean Sea. Also a barbeque of sardines takes place here on Fridays and Saturdays.
4. Natural Pau
Located in Sant Antoni, this nice outdoor restaurant has reserved part of its garden for children, so they can play there peacefully. Besides, its kitchen offers healthy dishes and delicious freshly squeezed juices.
5. Boat trip to Es Vedrá
A plan which usually pleases both parents and children is to get near to the magic islet of Es Vedrá on a boat trip. During the voyage, you will discover not only this island’s icon, but also other beautiful places of Ibiza’s coast. At Ulises Cat we offer you this catamaran trip every summer Friday until late October. The catamaran departs from Ses Figueretes and d’en Bossa beaches, and all along means about 3 hours trip.
